This season the management of the HRA parking lots was awarded to LAZ Parking LLC, a firm that, among other clients, manages a good deal of the Rhode Island beach parking. They were the winning bid in a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) process and have a lease to use the lots for parking.

LAZ Parking will be paying a parking permit fee to the town of Hull the same as any other paid parking lot in town.

Here are some of the details about parking on the HRA lots during this 2024 season:

• The three HRA parking lots are Lot A, located at Phipps Street & Hull Shore Drive; Lot B, the largest lot, located at Hull Shore Drive across from the steps to the beach; and Lot C, or the “triangle lot,” located at Water Street and Nantasket Avenue.

• Hull residents displaying valid town parking permits will continue to enjoy free parking at all three HRA lots from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting on May 1 until September 30.

• All parking fees will be paid via a mobile phone application, Flash Valet, a parking control system which tracks all vehicles by make and model, time of arrival, and departure time, as well as other data.

• Parking fees for vehicles without valid town parking permits are set at $20 per vehicle.

• Parking at the HRA lots at times other than 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. without authorization from the HRA is considered trespassing.

Other parking considerations are as follows:

May 1 - May 14: Northeast Public Power Association event on Lot B (No vehicles other than those associated with the event shall be parked in Lot B during this time.)

June 10 - June 16: Carnival on Lot B (No vehicles other than those associated with the event shall be parked in Lot B during this time.)

July 1 - July 3: Stars Above Circus on Lot B (No vehicles other than those associated with the event shall be parked in the southern third of Lot B during this time.)

July 15 - July 20: Carnival on Lot B (No vehicles other than those associated with the event shall be parked in Lot B during this time.)
